The dialects of Anatolia, which are an important part of the rich vocabulary and cultural heritage of Turkish, play a vital role in reflecting the mutual interaction between language and culture, as well as in preserving local identities and transmitting them from generation to generation. This article addresses the historical development of Anatolian dialects, their contributions to the vocabulary of Turkish, and their functions in cultural transmission processes. Anatolian dialects not only reflect local speech forms but also serve as carriers of traditional values, beliefs, and daily life practices. Significant works, such as the Compilation Dictionary, have contributed to preventing the forgetting of these oral cultural heritages by documenting them. The article also highlights the issues encountered in dialect studies. In particular, the lack of comprehensive dialect atlases, insufficient attention to syntactic features, and methodological shortcomings constitute the fundamental limitations in this field. Additionally, the increasing tendency towards standard language due to modernization, urbanization, and the influence of media complicates the transmission of dialects from generation to generation. Nevertheless, Anatolian dialects are regarded as an important tool for understanding the historical and social context of Turkish and for the preservation of cultural heritage. In conclusion, the documentation, research, and preservation of dialects hold great significance not only from a linguistic perspective but also in terms of safeguarding the collective memory of Turkish culture.

‌There are several material and moral factors that facilitate people living together. In particular, moral elements enable individuals to live more happily and peacefully as a community. Among these moral elements are values such as justice, honesty, diligence, helpfulness, and compassion. Regardless of language, religion, race, or geography, every society strives to preserve such values within its own cultural structure and to transmit them to future generations. In this context, “Values Education” is emphasized so that societies can achieve a high level of welfare and maintain a stable social order. The transmission of values plays a significant role in enabling individuals to live together with respect, affection, and mutual support. Throughout history, each nation has sought to instill its core values in younger generations through various means, including introducing targeted behaviors in educational curricula, raising awareness through public institutions, or utilizing the opportunities offered by evolving technologies. Today, one of the effective ways to implement values education is through TV series and animated productions.

‌The purpose of this study is to examine the series Küçük Dahi İbn-i Sina (Little Genius Ibn Sina), broadcast on TRT’s digital platform, in terms of Turkish language teaching and value transmission. The ten episodes of the series were analyzed using the document analysis method. The analysis revealed that the series conveys nineteen distinct values to its viewers. While some episodes aim to raise awareness about certain values, others provide explanatory and encouraging information regarding them. The values identified in the episodes include love, respect, helpfulness and kindness, learning and exploration, importance of family unity, diligence, affection for animals, contemplation, responsibility, equality, fairness, language awareness, neighborhood relations, sensitivity, honesty, aesthetics, self-control, foresight, and frugality. Among these, diligence, affection for animals, and importance of family unity are emphasized in nearly every episode.

This study examines the storytelling practices of Judith Malika Liberman, one of the prominent contemporary fairy-tale narrators, in terms of Turkish language education. Fairy tales play an important role in cultural transmission, in developing linguistic awareness, and in supporting values education. In this context, the study analyzes Liberman’s storytelling by comparing it with traditional storytelling; the narrator’s role, the interaction established with the audience, and the structural features of the narrative are examined. The research was conducted through document analysis, using selected examples from Liberman’s work Masal Terapi. The findings indicate that, in Liberman’s storytelling, some elements of traditional narrative are preserved, while others are brought to the forefront again through a psychopedagogical approach that blends traditional and modern storytelling. In this respect, Liberman’s storytelling presents a multidimensional narrative model that contributes to the development of students’ linguistic, affective, and creative skills in Turkish language education.
